Trying to install Windows XP alongside Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04; Disk Read Error?
Anyone, I currently have three partitions: A windows 7 partition, an ubuntu partition, and an empty partition meant for Windows XP. Every time I insert the install disk and boot, it copies files seamlessly to the intended partition without any problems, but as soon as I reboot, it gives me this error: "disk read error CTRL-ALT-DELETE to reboot. I know for a fact that there is nothing wrong with the CD or my HDD. I have searched everywhere and found no one with a problem like mine. BTW, I used the ubuntu live CD with gparted to make the partitions, and boot-repair to fix the bootloader after XP is done. PLEASE HELP.
