RAM Disk software (many of them) have slow speed with small files
We need to find a good RAM disk software for using it with MS Analysis Services Multidimensional (to put some cubes with recent data - 2-3 month, and to speed up the data retrieval).
I've tested 5 different ram disk softwares (ImDisk, SoftPerfect RAM Disk, QSoft RAMDisk, Datagram RamDisk, SuperSpeed RAMDisk Plues). All of them have the same problem: when small files are read/written, the speed is slow - the same as speed of HDD.
However, when big files are copied from ram-disk to ram-disk (e.g. a file of 500MB) - the speed is good - 600MB/sec.
Question: can anyone tell me the name of RAM disk software which would efficiently work with small files as well as with big files? Thanks.
EDIT:
Also I want to ask this clever guy who voted "-1" for my question: if the question seems so trivial for you, maybe you will share your experience how did you achieve good performance with small files on RAM drive? Instead of voting "-1", would you be so kind as to tell something useful here?
